An Ending, Or A…

Hi,

Most of us mark our sojourn on this planet in days and months and years, using a solar cycle. Every 28 to 31 days almost all countries on Earth shift to a new month, and every 12 months they shift to a new year. There are a few exceptions, of course.

A little over a week from now we’ll be practicing typing/writing 2026 instead of 2025. Most of us will probably get the hang of it right away, but some of us might still be hesitating for a few months before adding that final number. Generally, though, even though the year changes, very few things change in most of our daily routines. Even though my own routine will probably not change very much I will be glad to see 2026 arrive. Putting 2025 behind me, with all of the medical and other issues I had, will be a relief (that is, assuming I won’t face any of the same issues next year). Maybe I’ll be able to focus on my writing, editing, imaging, publishing, and promoting. Fingers crossed.

The next post will be about New Year’s resolutions, and why I don’t make them anymore. Some of the other posts after that will likely be about whatever I’m working on, about a few frustrations I’ve experienced recently, about what I want to accomplish in 2026, about deadlines, about web design, about some incidents I couldn’t talk about in 2025, and a few other things.

I hope you have a good holiday. See you next year.

Michael
